Hardboiled - Directed by Peter Sluszka
As part of an internship with Hornet Inc, I worked on puppets, props and sets for Hardboiled, a stop-motion animated satire of the urban American crime drama featuring two tough talking detectives, Harry and Callaham, who happen to be an egg and a slice of ham. Written and Directed by Peter Sluszka.
I constructed and painted two bazookas and rockets using styrene and odd plastic bits.
I constructed the right section of this factory, working off of the milk carton building (left) that had a first life earlier in the film.
Roughly 1/3 scale puppet I constructed of one of the lead characters, built for a wide shot. Made of a cast egg shape as a base.
Here I constructed the parachute, fully animatable and ready for action.
